By Royal Appointment In Monaco, Hurricane Sandy

I must say that as a photographer (among many other things like publishing) I am devastated not to be in New York City right now capturing images of the once in a lifetime Hurricane Sandy. Another duty called so to speak. I had to be in Monaco to attend a gathering where Prince Albert held court. It was actually a pleasure meeting the Prince for the first time.

At the same time, Actress Nicole Kidman help up traffic during the making of late Princess Grace biopic movie. Monaco as we speak is a movie land with trailer parks and Hollywood elites everywhere. No I’m not complaining, just observant. πŸ™‚

Ok, so I escaped the Hurricane but I wasn’t spared the storm that held up our flight and had us redirected to Marseilles where we sat on the tarmac for 4 hours before getting the OK from the air traffic control tower to proceed into Nice. I actually might find myself sleeping at the airport/stranded in Europe this coming weekend if the weather doesn’t clear up outbound to New York! Oh dear. πŸ™

On that thought, to lighten up my mood for the Prince Albert function, Dolce Gabbana black pumps with leopard sole and the Alice+Olivia red satin dress did the job just fine πŸ™‚

Next on my agenda: To find what to wear to SHOEHOLICS MAGAZINE’s upcoming anniversary/holiday party on November 29 in NYC! OMG!

Fashion: Pink Tights For Awareness

Look of the day: So word on the street is colorful tights in now. Figured why not give me a go in bright pink tights, to take one for the Breast Cancer Awareness month. Body harness by Herve Leger, Kooba bag, black jacket by Diane Von Furstenberg, shoes by Michael Kors. As for the white dress….I can’t remember. Shame on me for that.

No white after labor day? Whose rules? I needed some pick me up colors, and the white dress did the job just fine πŸ™‚

I hope you like the ensemble πŸ™‚

Michelle Obama vs Ann Romney: Fashion Face Off In Pink!

Ok, it’s safe to say President Obama got his balls back after the first debate which happened to fall on his 20th wedding anniversary to Michelle Obama. You can’t blame the man. No one should have to be debating while on a hot seat on a special day like that. The 2nd debate however, the President brought down the house but their respective wives’ fashion statement also caught my attention. Apparently pink was the new conservative black at the 2nd presidential debate. Both wives, Michelle and Ann faced off in pink forgoing the usual conservative earth or less visual color tones. Hmm….still trying to take my pick of the day…Michelle or Ann…..pondering….

Skulls & Bones At The Comic Con

I had a fantastic time at the Comic Con this weekend. It would mark my very first time at the huge comic frenzy event. What I thought was a kids only event turned out to be a fun packed place for adults of all ages! It presented a great chance for adults to wear all sorts of costumes and fantasy garbs mixed with fashionable accessories ahead of the Halloween Parade in the city. You could literally see through me, bones and all in my outfit πŸ™‚

Well, let me hold my tongue to let the featured images below do the “talking” for me. I eagerly await the next annual event in 2013, God willing πŸ™‚

What’s With The Playboy Bunny Ears?

I know what you’re thinking. Yes, this is my latest addiction –the lacy bunny ears. I discovered them at BCBG stores and literally can’t go a day without them, at least for now. Another addiction are super sexy luxurious fabric leggings by Black Milk Clothing. They do take time to arrive from Australia to New York but I must say that they are worth the wait. I haven’t seen such quality leggings like them in a very long time. The cold air is gradually taking over the city. Tall boots and layers are in order taking to Paul & Betty knee length suede tassel boots with back embellishments, Escada turtle neck and Givenchy jacket, and out the door I go! Let’s not forget, it’s Comic Con weekend in New York! πŸ™‚

Men In Leggings! A Growing Trend?

I seem to notice a trend now. Men wearing leggings! Should Michael Phelps in tights during the Olympics be held accountable for this?

Here are a few images of men in tights I came across on cyber city. Yeap look again, those are dudes. Some could actually make a lady think twice about her own legs! Nice muscles guys πŸ™‚
