NY Disability Gets Heard

Disability Pride Parade! Yeap, you read right. If cannabis, LGBTQ, etc can hold their parades in the big apple why not the group of New Yorkers who need our attention the most! Proud citizens in wheelchairs, walking sticks, et.al all made their way from Madison Square Park to Union Square, roughly 10 city blocks away. The city took the opportunity to set up voting registration booths as well. The weather held up nicely to for the event. Disability Pride Parades have been held many times in many places across the United States. The first Disability Pride Day was held in Boston, MA in 1990.
