While many companies moonlight as “non-profit” organizations throwing lavishing galas and pocketing the majority of the profit as “proceeds for charity”, a little known catering company “Fleurimond Catering” celebrated a 12 year anniversary of organizing lavish galas except that it’s for profit with proceeds going to charity! Now, that’s what I call a selfless act of courage! The brains behind the operation is non other than a petite hardworking Nadege Fleurimond who has taken advantage of her personal and professional networks to put together a party that could rival any mega million dollars and star studded fete. Yearly, she gathers her well established friends and colleagues dressed up to the nines as if going to the Oscars, and yes I mean complete elegance to dance, eat and network while at the same time donating some of the proceeds to charity! You see, she calls it what it is by making it transparent from the start that it’s not a “non-profit” affair. Annually, she chooses a charity organization of choice to benefit from the fete. This year, the the honor of the masquerade ball theme event went to Haiti Cultural Exchange. Nadege is Haitian by heritage, so it’s only befitting that she would use the opportunity to give back to her community.

I was honored to represent Shoeholics as one of the esteemed guests. For such a selfless cause, it was a no brainer to get the magazine to participate as well. Every lucky guests went home with a copy of Shoeholics magazine in their gift bags! I even came close to winning an iPad for “Best Mask”! I was the first runner up, loosing out to a lovely lady in gold lace mask whose picture I couldn’t stop taking prior to the contest. Her ensemble was old Hollywood glamour and the way the light kept hitting her as she danced made her a perfect photographer’s subject. I was enamored with her, along with about 3 other photographers who couldn’t get enough of her either. With a unique mask like that with draped white feathers over her gown certainly is deceiving of the award. I was happy to loose to such an elegant sight. I was so carried away that I completely forget to ask for her name! Silly me. Nevertheless, I had so much fun and made loads of new friends! Merci Beaucoup Fleurimond Catering! A bientot mon cheri!

Well folks, it looks like we might have the Holocaust on our hands yet again. This was after all how Adolf Hitler started! According to CNN…

U.S. officials Thursday denounced what one called a “grotesque” leaflet ordering Jews in one eastern Ukrainian city to register with a government office, but the Jewish community there dismissed it as a “provocation.”

The fliers were handed out by masked men in front the main synagogue in Donetsk, where pro-Russian protesters have declared a “People’s Republic,” Jewish leaders there said. The document warned the city’s Jews to register and document their property or face deportation, according to a CNN translation of one of the leaflets.

Geoffrey Pyatt, the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, told CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” that a respected Jewish leader in Ukraine showed him a photograph of one of the leaflets. He called the document “chilling.”

And in Geneva, where diplomats held emergency talks on the Ukrainian crisis, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called the leaflets “grotesque” and “beyond unacceptable.”

But the Jewish community statement said relations between the Jews of Donetsk and their neighbors were amicable, and the self-proclaimed head of the “People’s Republic,” Denis Pushilin, denied any connection to the fliers.

Pushilin told CNN the handwriting on the flier wasn’t his, and the title attached to his name was not one he uses. It wasn’t clear who had distributed the leaflets, but the chief rabbi of nearby Dnipropetrovsk said, “Everything must be done to catch them.”

“It’s important for everyone to know its not true,” said the rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki. “The Jews of Donetsk will not do what the letter says.”

The reports come as Ukraine’s Western-backed interim government has been struggling to contain uprisings by pro-Russian political movements in several eastern cities, with both sides invoking the historical horror of Nazism in their disputes. Pyatt told CNN that radical groups may be trying to stir up historic fears or create a provocation to justify further violence.

“It’s chilling. I was disgusted by these leaflets,” Pyatt said. “Especially in Ukraine, a country that suffered so terribly under the Nazis, that was one of the sites of the worst violence of the Holocaust. To drag up this kind of rhetoric is almost beyond belief.”

The leaflets were handed out on Tuesday, during the Jewish holiday of Passover, the Jewish community statement said. They stated that registration was required because Jewish leaders had supported the “nationalists and bandits” in Kiev, where a popular revolt ousted pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych in February.

“All citizens of Jewish nationality over age of 16, living on territories of Donetsk People’s Republic, have to register with DPR commissioner of nationality before May 3rd, 2014 at the Donetsk Regional Administration, room 514, registration fee is $50,” read a photographed copy of the leaflet translated by CNN. “Must have in person $50 cash, passport, all available IDs, and documentation of ownership of real estate and transportation.”

The men also hung posters with the same message, it said.

“Who is behind this is an open question,” Rabbi Pinkhas Vishedski said in the statement. But he said the act was a provocation “and should be treated accordingly … full stop and end of topic.”

Provocation or not, the U.S.-based Anti-Defamation League condemned their distribution and what it called their “cynical and politically manipulative” exploitation of anti-Semitism.

“We are skeptical about the flier’s authenticity, but the instructions clearly recall the Nazi era and have the effect of intimidating the local Jewish community,” ADL Director Abraham Foxman said in a written statement.

Pyatt said that in Kiev, where the Jewish community is a vital part of political life, there is “no sympathy for this approach.”

“It’s almost inconceivable that this kind of thing could be happening in the 21st century,” Pyatt said.

And Kerry said all parties at the Geneva talks unanimously condemned anti-Semitism and other forms of religious intolerance.

“Any of the people who engage in these kinds of activities — from whatever party or whatever ideology or whatever place they crawl out of — there is no place for that,” he said.

Apparently, according to TheNewsNerd, Pop singer Taylor Swift has a strong case of “Negrophobia”. She is said to have revealed that she has an extreme fear of black people. A source close to the 24-year-old singer said she has been seeking counseling for the condition with the hope that she recovers from it.

The source stated Swift has always had a slight fear of black people, but it reached its pinnacle after her run-in with Kanye West in 2009. When Kanye West rushed the stage during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards, she believed she was going to be attacked. Though Kanye did not inflict any physical pain on her, the ordeal left her with an emotional scar that festered into a fear of being accosted by black men.

Taylor Swift has taken the stage with various rappers since the ordeal with Kanye, such as T.I. and B.o.B., but that fear remained present. Swift said the condition has grown and is beginning to affect her financially and emotionally.

The source who revealed the news stated, “Taylor is a very good girl and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Kanye really did a number on her emotionally, but she is still working hard to recover. She breaks out into a nervous sweat and has trouble breathing whenever there is a black man around. This is a medical condition and has nothing to do with hate for anyone. Taylor loves everyone. I actually told her that the best way to get over it is to take one into your bed. I too had a fear of black men, but now they are all I date. That old saying is true, ‘once you go black, you never go back.’”

“Taylor will be fine, she just needs to jump back on that horse,” she said while laughing.

Taylor Swift could be suffering from Negrophobia, which Google defines as an intense fear of black people. In Taylor’s case however, the fear only extends to men. There is no known cure.

The country crooner last released Red on October 22, 2012. The album debuted at number one after selling an astounding 1.28 million copies in the first week of release. The debut became the biggest opening for a female since Britney Spears’ ‘Oops … I did it Again’ in 2000. The album also spent a total of 16 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 Chart.

There’s no question about it. The world’s gene pool is mixing up and sooner or later what is minority now will become a majority.

According to the National Geographic, the pictures here represent what the majority of Americans (most likely the world) would look like by 2050. By then, when filling out a college application form I can only image the box you check for “Other” would apply to Caucasian, Black, or even Asian. That is, the expected majority will be that of the mixed race. Hmm… I wonder what the “white supremacist” make of this. They must be going bunkers! LOL!
