Is it a full moon somewhere? We’ve been witnessing a lot of brawling lately. First the one on St Marks Place, then Solange vs Jay Z and now to top it all (I hope this is it) are 2 BILLIONAIRES (not millionaires) flying blows at each other allegedly over women! Sigh…what’s cooking people?!

According to the Daily Mail: These extraordinary photographs show the moment two of Australia’s richest men started brawling in the street after falling out when one of them left his wife and starting dating model Miranda Kerr.

James Packer and David Gyngell, both media moguls, have been friends since childhood, and Mr Gyngell was best man at Mr Packer’s wedding to wife Erica.

But last year Mr Packer, 46 – son of pioneering broadcaster Kerry Packer – announced that he had separated from his wife, and allegedly began a relationship with Ms Kerr, Orlando Bloom’s ex-wife.

Mr Gyngell, 48, apparently confronted his friend outside his Sydney home, and the pair began rowing about Mr Packer’s treatment of his estranged spouse.

The two men, who both own extensive entertainment businesses, had to be separated by bodyguards, and were later fined $500 (£280) each for ‘offensive behaviour’.

Mr Gyngell accepted responsibility for the fight and pledged to co-operate with the police investigation into the incident.

‘He fully accepts that he was the instigator of the incident,’ a spokesman said. ‘Clearly, had he not turned up at Packer’s premises in an angry mood then the confrontation would never have occurred.’

Oh dear…I dare not even try to decipher what is going on in the household of Jay Z & Beyonce. This video footage of Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister) physically attacking Jay Z is shocking with Beyonce looking on inside the Standard Hotel elevator shortly after the Met Ball in NYC! I guess my next question is what type of hotel would sell their elevator surveillance video footage to the press/tabloids? Makes me think twice before ever booking a hotel room at such a place! Further below is a photo of the trio outside the elevator showing Solange still fuming from the fight and Jay Z’s shirt slightly untucked from his pants from trying to defend himself. Whew! They’re just like the rest of us with family feud! Hmm…where there’s smoke there’s fire!

What’s with all the violence lately?! Just 2 days ago I almost lost my life at a street brawl I witnessed and posted at the link here!

A major fight scene happened tonight shortly after having dinner on St Marks Place in NYC. This is a busy street usually packed with college students. And you can only imagine that the crowd would include some drunken machos among other things. I witnessed right before my eyes a gang of 6 guys going after one guy in a fight scene that can only rival the kind seen in a movie.  At one point one guy was poking a stick at the stomach of the poor defenseless fellow who had 5 others punching his face! I was so dumbfounded with my mouth wide open only to utter a loud “OMG!” I stupidly forgot to whip out my cell phone to record the unbelievable punches flying before my eyes. A state of shock would be an understatement. After coming to my senses, I was able to manage capturing some of the guys kicking the one guy on the floor and recorded the police coming on to the scene before arresting just 2 of the guys. Of course, the others fled! Apparently this one guy had stolen something from the nearby store and called the black store owner “stupid nigger”. The group of guys came to the store owner’s defense by beating up the guy on the floor! Sigh…the racist saga just never ends!

Well, below is a video footage and photos which includes the damaged store nearby. They basically used the poor Indian man’s store display as a weapon. Thank goodness no knives or guns insight! I could have been injured considering how close I was to the scene! 🙁

Dr Dre is all over the news lately about the pending sale of his Beats by Dr Dre headphone set company to Apple for a reported $3.2 cool billions! He was in California toasting the news with friends including Tyrese who recorded this celebratory video below. Listen to Dr Dre in the video footage declare himself as the first billionaire in hip hop. A sign of how good hard work pays off. The video is too hilarious to pass up. Check it out!

Have you ever tried to timeline yourself? It’s nerve wracking! You should try it though. I often ask myself if I’m aging well and summed up the courage to do this using non filtered images of myself. OMG! How am I doing so far? I know black don’t crack but will I be needing botox, nip/tuck in the near future? I suppose being careful with I eat and not being a smoker helps. And as for my body, I can still fit into outfits I bought 20 years ago! We are afterall what we eat. I am grateful for all the lovely comments posted on my facebook page.

If you’re a big fan of the Keeping Up With The Kardashian reality show, then you are in for a big let down. Amid reports of several A list celebrities refusing to attend simply because they do not want to appear on the reality show should there be a camera present during the ceremony. Furthermore, her fiancee Kanye West is not keen on being a part of the show at all and Kim has been busy revamping her image, especially after bagging the coveted Vogue magazine cover. So in her own words via twitter, this is what she had to say to straighten out the rumors! This must have cost them millions of dollars in endorsements compared to her previous wedding where the TV rights was sold to E online and look at how that marriage turned out. Guess she’s now realizing that not all money is good money. Good for you Kim!

The house of Chanel is known for breathtaking couture creations, especially while under the auspices of German Karl Lagerfeld. The brand is synonymous with luxury and status. However, the designs created by the founder of the label, Madame Gabrielle Coco Chanel are rare gems and extremely valuable just like paintings by Monet and dare I say, the Mona Lisa! Much like painting, the works of a deceased artist goes up in value. Here are some of the creations by Coco Chanel herself during her time at the label in 1920s-60s. These are SO TIMELESS!

By 1914, Chanel was designing and selling the type of comfortable knit daywear that she first began making for herself. This style of knit suit, reminiscent of her own schoolgirl uniform, remained a constant throughout her career and became a staple in women’s wardrobes. The symmetrically placed pockets and buttons are functional, but also act as the suit’s only adornment.

Chanel often used modest materials and subdued colors, but, as these scalloped flounces attest, her technique retained couture’s impeccable craftsmanship. She championed simple clothes that reflected a modern lifestyle and attitude. In response to Poiret’s charge that her style was “poverty de luxe,” Chanel replied, “simplicity does not mean poverty.”

Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel is often said to have “invented” the Little Black Dress. In reality, other designers, such as Premet, had already sold innumerable simple black dresses, like “La Garçonne,” neatly trimmed with white lace collars, years before Chanel made a splash with her little black dress of 1925, which Vogue dubbed a “Fashion Ford.” Nevertheless, Chanel was influential in popularizing this and many other quintessentially modern styles.

Want to attend the biggest night in fashion industry, aka the Met Ball? This is how it works: You have to get a designer to love you enough to sponsor the $25k a seat ticket and in return you have to “advertise” the designer’s frock by wearing it to the ball. You will notice several of the stars posing in media pictures with high profile designers whose designs they’re wearing. It’s no coincidence. Every seat is accounted for in $$$$.  It’s a charity affair, meaning no freebies. The stars get the press for being “best dressed” and the exposure that comes with it and the designer gets the added profile of seeing their designs on a star for media exposure. Everybody wins! So if you want that ticket, make sure you have a golden award statue on your mantle or a deep pocket to smooch your way in.
