Oprah Winfrey Turned Away At A Boutique!

article-2389798-1B382B7A000005DC-310_634x798

Oprah wanted to see the orange crocodile skin “Jennifer” bag the store owner Trudie Goetz is holding in the picture.

The one and only Oprah Winfrey was given the Pretty Woman “It’s too expensive” treatment in Zurich recently while in Switzerland for Tina Turner’s wedding. Who in their right mind would turn away a mogul billionaire from looking at a $38,000 Tom Ford “Jennifer” bag? Apparently one dumb numb skull dim wit sales clerk in Zurich did the honors! Mind you, it won’t be the first time the media mogul experienced such a treatment. Who could forget the infamous Hermes shopping experience where she was turned away! Some people need to be put away for good for redundancy! This is 2013, wake up! Click here to read the store owner’s apology to Oprah. What a shame! BIG MISTAKE!

You definitely don’t want to miss watching Oprah Winfrey’s video interview below! WOW!

Fashion: Forest Florals & Pinks

There’s no better time to glam up in floral pieces to boost the summer spirit than now. I did it in Escada forest floral top and pink capri pants matched with a pair of strappy pink Casadei sandals and hot pink vintage cateye sunglasses.

Someone must have known that I have a thing for “diamond” shoes. They are afterall every girls’ best friend. It should be illegal to step on the street in these creations. Fun Filled Day With Patricia Field, Kay Unger et. al.

Patricia Field

Yesterday was a long day at work. As the Creative Director of Shoeholics magazine, I was invited to some industry events, including a fashion show by the Oscar nominated style maker, Patricia Field. Of course, she never disappoints. I had the opportunity to also meet many fashion designers including Kay Unger whom I have now come to know as a die hard shoeholic. I was accompanied by Shoeholics magazine Fashion Director, Toriola Famuyiwa. We had a fantastic time! See the series of pictures below. 🙂

Fashion: Let’s Make It Roar Leos!

It’s the season of the Leos! Let’s make it roar! Happy birthday to all Leos worldwide. Let your animal instinct run wild in every exotic print dress, shoes and accessories you can find. Don’t forget to color coordinate. Red colored accessories go very well with Leopard prints in any form, but keep the shoes nude according to your skin tone. I would suggest brown for a people of color like me and beige for Caucasians/Asians. This way you’re sure to draw more attention to the Leopard and red. 🙂

Fashion: Playing Cards In Leggings

The summer season wouldn’t be complete without donning on a pair of fun leggings. I managed to get my hands on a pair with printed Queen of Hearts, topped it off with a lose gold studded cut out long sleeve blouse to let in some air when walking about, and the shoes had to be white of course. Easy breezy does it.:)

Fashion: In Turban & Column Dress

A turban is perfect for some many things. Having a bad hair day or feeling lazy to dress it up? Just grab a stylish head wrap or turban, slap on the most stylish pair of sunglasses you can find to go with a slim column dress. Complete the look by cinching the waist with a large belt and you would see how fast your lazy bones snap back into diva mode with or without heels! Works like magic. 🙂

Fashion: Leave The Parasol, Grab The Hat

Not in the mood to strut about holding on to a parasol? Opt for a wide brim sun hat instead. Dazzle it with a silk flower and jazz up everything else with a lose blouse to help cool off during the summer heat and a flared bottom jeans for a hint of 60s go easy vibe. An easy casual look with a hint of glam for the season, any bag and shoes would do just fine and Voila! You’re ready to strut! Hope you like it. 🙂
