Michelle Obama vs Ann Romney: Fashion Face Off In Pink!

Ok, it’s safe to say President Obama got his balls back after the first debate which happened to fall on his 20th wedding anniversary to Michelle Obama. You can’t blame the man. No one should have to be debating while on a hot seat on a special day like that. The 2nd debate however, the President brought down the house but their respective wives’ fashion statement also caught my attention. Apparently pink was the new conservative black at the 2nd presidential debate. Both wives, Michelle and Ann faced off in pink forgoing the usual conservative earth or less visual color tones. Hmm….still trying to take my pick of the day…Michelle or Ann…..pondering….

Skulls & Bones At The Comic Con

I had a fantastic time at the Comic Con this weekend. It would mark my very first time at the huge comic frenzy event. What I thought was a kids only event turned out to be a fun packed place for adults of all ages! It presented a great chance for adults to wear all sorts of costumes and fantasy garbs mixed with fashionable accessories ahead of the Halloween Parade in the city. You could literally see through me, bones and all in my outfit πŸ™‚

Well, let me hold my tongue to let the featured images below do the “talking” for me. I eagerly await the next annual event in 2013, God willing πŸ™‚

What’s With The Playboy Bunny Ears?

I know what you’re thinking. Yes, this is my latest addiction –the lacy bunny ears. I discovered them at BCBG stores and literally can’t go a day without them, at least for now. Another addiction are super sexy luxurious fabric leggings by Black Milk Clothing. They do take time to arrive from Australia to New York but I must say that they are worth the wait. I haven’t seen such quality leggings like them in a very long time. The cold air is gradually taking over the city. Tall boots and layers are in order taking to Paul & Betty knee length suede tassel boots with back embellishments, Escada turtle neck and Givenchy jacket, and out the door I go! Let’s not forget, it’s Comic Con weekend in New York! πŸ™‚

Men In Leggings! A Growing Trend?

I seem to notice a trend now. Men wearing leggings! Should Michael Phelps in tights during the Olympics be held accountable for this?

Here are a few images of men in tights I came across on cyber city. Yeap look again, those are dudes. Some could actually make a lady think twice about her own legs! Nice muscles guys πŸ™‚

The Snake Charmer In Heels

Heading to a doctor’s appointment to donate blood in a pair shoes I have never worn until today. Figured while I am in the spirit of giving, why not do it in style. So let’s clear the sidewalks, the pair of Gianmarco Lorenzi genuine snakeskin and embellished crystal snake charmer are coming. It’s going to be one long runway. Let’s hope I don’t get dizzy on the way out.

So what’s the attire? Well, apart from the Kova & T leggings, just the snake please, nothing else. πŸ™‚

In Vintage Chanel Tights

I went out of my comfort zone a little bit today. I was in la la heaven when I dug up a vintage Chanel tights in my closet today. I completed the look with Kooba bag, Casadei suede boots, BCBG silk shorts, Chanel diamond necklace, vintage Yves Saint Laurent shredded blouse by Tom Ford…and off to my appointments! Hope you like it πŸ™‚

6-Month Pregnant Raffaella Fico Walks The Runway In Milan

I am all for celebrating the female form no matter what.

We have seen many models such as Heidi Klum walk the Victoria Secret runway shows while heavily pregnant and so many others have done the same in the past. But here we have 6-month pregnant Raffaella Fico doing the honors at Milan Fashion Week.

Hmm….not sure how I feel about some of these images, some ok, some unflattering. Well, you be the judge.

The Black Yogi Takes Over Manhattan

It was so much fun working Yogi Hadji Jones in New York City. A fun filled day exploring the city and taking advantage of the landmark scenery; such as Harlem, public parks, the Village, Columbus Circle, including seating right in the middle of the traffic! We started somewhat bright and early and had a great finish by the Empire State building.

As luck would have it, we spotted a colorful rainbow right by the fountain at Washington Square Park. I have never seen that happen before, only up in the sky and never right in front of me where I could literally walk through it. That could only mean many more luck to come our way. At least I hope so πŸ™‚

For more on our model of the day, Yogi Hadji Jones, please visit TheBlackYogi.com. He is probably the most humble person I have ever met in a long time. I was one of the Yogis I randomly photographed during a recent Yoga Summer Solstice on Times Square. He is always hardworking and willing to learn anything new, including poling as a fitness regimen!

Anyway, please enjoy some of the images featured here. So many great shots, so little time. Click on the images to view an enlarged version.

As always darling, all rights reserved. Namaste! πŸ™‚

Color Me Mine

Look of the day: Forget about the outfit, it’s the Minna Parikka flats from Finland that gets me going today. I literally worked the entire color coordination from the feet up! I can’t get enough of the shoes! πŸ™‚

A complete opposite from the brown palette (shown below ) from a day before in my very first Indian beaded/crystal espadrilles and super extra large handbag. I know what you’re thinking. No, it’s not heavy. Some love it, some hate it. Either way, it worked!

So many advantages to being a dark brown skin tone, I get to play with ANY color theme! πŸ™‚ Happy Friday!
